The Journal is a continuation of internal newsletter that kept the research group in Sport Management at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences of the University of Valencia. The initiative to convert the newsletter to a journal arose Group director Javier Mundina and the group member Ferran Calabuig. In subsequent meetings was obtained valuable commitment of the Sport Economic Observatory that heads the prestigious professor Placido Rodriguez.
