Author Guidelines

PUBLICATION GUIDELINES:

1. Journal of Sports Economics & Management publishes  empirical or theoretical contributions, in Spanish and English involving a contribution to the advancement of the discipline.

2. The work must be original, not admitting those that have been published in whole or in part, or which are in press or have been submitted to another journal for evaluation. The journal accepts papers presented at conferences that have not been published in special issues of other journals.

3. It is assumed that all persons listed as authors have given their approval, and that any person cited as a source of personal communication consent to such citation.

4. The contributions, produced in Word, have a maximum length of 8,000 words (including title, abstract, references, figures, tables, appendices and illustrations) and be single-spaced, on one side and numbering at the bottom right. Please use the template (click here).

5. The document must exclude the name of the authors or any mention that enable their identification. On the first page it will include the title, an abstract and keywords all in Spanish and English. The summary could not contain more than 200 words.

6. Figures and tables must be included within the text in the preferred location by the author. Shall be done by the authors as they wish, following the APA (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 6th Edition) guidelines, and be numbered consecutively.

7. All manuscripts are reviewed anonymously. Authors can  suggest up to three potential reviewers who considered suitable to evaluate their work, clearly indicating their postal address and email. Also, authors may indicate a person who, for various reasons, do not wish to be involved in the review process of their work. These
suggestions should be included in a letter to the editor.

8. The preparation of the manuscript should be made
according to the template provided by the journal (click here). If there is a doubt according to any aspect of format, the authors must follow the APA (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 6th edition) guidelines. The authors must archive all web references before citing them by WebCite ®. This free service ensures that cited webmaterial will remain available to readers in the future.
